Technical Notes

/omaha/pin-offset

  1. Always commit the 4-digit PIN offset and NEVER the clear PIN.
  2. Call /omaha/security-code simultaneously with /omaha/pin-offset for the account’s security code to remain in-sync. Add two zeros to the security code.
  3. This PIN Change can NOT be used for EMV cardholders.
  4. If the principal customer role value is populated, the system will automatically use this value for any other names on the account. For the secondary account number, the system also automatically inserts the same value.

/omaha/security-code

  1. This API is always run in conjunction with PIN Offset API so that the account’s PIN Offset remains in-sync.
  2. Update the security code affiliated with an account number and add two zeros to the security code.

/connex/pin-change

This API will be used through a digital channel to change the current assigned PIN to the new submitted PIN to be used in the future for member validation and account access.

  1. The key wrap endpoint in the Encryption API is a pre-requisite step for this Connex PIN Change endpoint for Co-Op clients.
  2. The Key Wrap is the key obtained by the customer using the Encryption API for the Base64 encoded value for their key, which the Client will use to decrypt the encrypted value when received from the API.
  3. You MUST send a wrappedkey for every Connex PIN Change call, and the Response will return an encrypted PIN Change code based on the Encryption API's key wrap endpoint.
  4. Use the key wrap endpoint in the Encryption API to de-encrypt the PIN Change response. The Decryption scripts are detailed for /connex/cvv.get on the Plastics API Technical Notes wiki.
  5. The PIN calc needs to be configured on the switch side prior to using and testing this PIN Change API.

/connex/pin-offset-change

This API will be used through a digital channel to change the current assigned PIN Offset number to the new submitted PIN Offset value as the official PIN is NEVER sent.

  1. The calculated PIN Offset, not the actual PIN, is an input parameter for the PIN Change endpoint.
  2. Transactions not matching the stored offset are declined.
  3. The PIN calc needs to be configured on the switch side prior to using and testing this PIN Offset API.

/connex/pin-validate

This API will be used through a digital channel to check whether or not the submitted PIN matches with the currently assigned PIN for member validation and account access.

  1. The key wrap endpoint in the Encryption API is a pre-requisite step for this Connex PIN Validate endpoint for Co-Op clients.
  2. You MUST send a wrappedkey for every PIN Validate call, and the Response will return an encrypted PIN code based on the Encryption API's key wrap endpoint. De-cryption is not required for this endpoint.
